Community Diabetes Camp – Heera Heritage, Jagathy

Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, hosted a free diabetes awareness camp at Heera Heritage, Jagathy, on 6 April 2025, drawing 52 participants. Dr. Arun Shankar, Medical Director, spoke on early detection and day‑to‑day diabetes management and Ms. Geethu Sanal, Chief Dietitian, explained practical nutrition strategies for better glycaemic control.

The interactive sessions equipped attendees with up‑to‑date knowledge and personalised tips to improve their diabetes care.

Patient Education Program at Jothydev’s Diabetes Hospital, Trivandrum

Patient Education Program at Jothydev’s Diabetes Hospital, Trivandrum Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Trivandrum, in association with Diabscreen Kerala and the P. Kesavadev Trust, successfully conducted a Diabetes Education Program on 12 April 2025 at the hospital’s mini hall, with 30 participants in attendance.

The interactive session featured expert talks by Dr. Arun Shankar, Dr. Junaid Naina, Ms. Remya Jose, and Ms. Geethu Sanal, covering essential topics on diabetes management, lifestyle modification, and nutrition. The program aimed to empower patients with practical knowledge for better daily control and long-term outcomes.

Diabetes Screening & Education Camp at Poojapura Residents’ Association

Jothydev’s diabetes research centre team conducted a diabetes screening and education camp at the Poojapura Residents’ Association on 26 April 2025, welcoming 86 participants. Dr. Shahana Yasmin, Consultant Diabetologist, delivered an engaging talk on diabetes prevention, early warning signs, and day‑to‑day management. Free blood‑sugar checks and personalised counselling empowered residents to take proactive steps toward better metabolic health.
