Hi,

Yes; this is the tenth-anniversary issue of Gems.

Exactly ten years ago, on November 14, 2008 on World Diabetes Day the first issue of Gems was published by the team consisting of Neethu Annie Ajai, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr. Arun Shankar and Sunitha Jothydev. Soon it was realised that physicians, patients and public were searching for a reliable source to get true scientific information with unbiased content. In 2011, Gopika Krishnan joined as the Scientific Editor and in 2017 Lakshmy Ramachandran also joined the team. Currently, we have millions of readers all over the world and we always respect the comments and suggestions from our readers for improving the content.

The strengths of JDC Gems are:

  1. The original team remains the same
  2. The project remains totally free of sponsor banners and is solely funded by the P.Kesavadev Trust, a charity organisation.
  3. Not even a single issue was missed in the past 10 years.

This anniversary issue (Issue no.121) is released on the November 14, World Diabetes Day 2018. It is from the encouragement of friends and physicians all over the world that we gather the strength to continue our efforts. A million thanks from Gems Team and let us together continue to fight diabetes.
