Telemedicine IN DIABETES
Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre is the first centre (1997) to introduce telemedicine in diabetes care as a cost effective tool to achieve and maintain all targets in diabetes management. DTMS® makes use of a unique software and a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, dietitians, diabetes educators, nurse educators, pharmacists and psychologists to interact with its registered users. The research in JDC has succeeded in cost-effective utilization of telemedicine to prevent the debilitating complications of diabetes and to cut down future cost of treating diabetes.
