Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was the invited speaker at the virtual event conducted by PSG (Pregnancy Study Group), on 25 December 2021. Dr. Jothydev spoke on ‘The role of Insulin pump in pregnancy’. The session was chaired by Dr. Mehul Sukhadia and Dr. Prashant Sankar. Dr.Rutul Gokalani, Dr.Dharmendra Panchal and Dr.Dipak Chudasma organised the event.
December 28, 2021: Tech JPEF Hybrid National CME
Jothydev’s Professional Education Forum (JPEF) and Indian Medical Association AMS Nemom chapter in association with the P Kesavadev Trust hosted the Tech JPEF 2021, Hybrid National CME, first-ever medical education in India with the theme, “Wearable devices in diabetes” on 28 December 2021, 7:00 pm-9.30 pm. Honourable President National RSSDI, Dr. Vasant Kumar (Hyderabad) inaugurated the event virtually. The scientific sessions began with a lecture on’ Apple watch: The Doctor on your wrist- Exploring Possibilities in Diabetes Care’ by Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Chairman and Managing Director, Jothydev Diabetes Research Centres. The session was chaired by Dr. Vasant Kumar. Other scientific sessions include’ Time in Range in Type 2 Diabetes: Cost v/s Complications’ by Dr. Banshi Saboo, Secretary, DASG, Diabetes India, ‘American Diabetes Association 2022 Practice Guidelines; Overview and Focus on Technologies’ by Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, Secretary, National RSSDI, ‘Smart Insulin Pens (Connected Pens) - Will it reduce the cost?’ by Dr. Shalini Jaggi and ‘Wearable Insulin Pumps- Automation is Here in India’ by Ms. Gopika Krishnan and Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev. These sessions were chaired by Dr. Asha Ashik, Kochi, Dr. P. Suresh Kumar, Calicut and Dr. Arun Shankar, Trivandrum, respectively. The event, hosted at Kesavadev Hall, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Trivandrum witnessed the participation of around 320 delegates across India, joined virtually and in-person.
