Renowned Malayalam actor and Ex-Parliament Member (Rajya Sabha) Shri. Suresh Gopi gifted an automated insulin delivery system (AID)- Medtronic 780G to a young girl Nandhana having type 1 diabetes at Jothydev’s Diabetes Hospital and Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. Addressing the parents and children with type 1 diabetes at Kesavadev Hall, he said “I’m not a rich man, but I cannot see the sufferings of these parents and young children”. He also opined that limitations exist with the government to support the type 1 diabetes community and hence individuals should come forward to lend support to the deserving kids with type 1 diabetes. He also expressed his willingness to continue supporting more children soon.
