8. Recipe of the Month

Baked Oat puri


  • ½ cup oats flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
  • 2 teaspoon black sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoon low fat curd
  • ½ teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon green chilli paste
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon oil
  • Salt to taste

    Method of preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into stiff dough using enough water. Divide the dough into 20 equal portions and roll out each portion into a 75 mm diameter circle using a little whole wheat gram flour. Prick the rolled out puris with a fork at regular intervals. Arrange them on a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 2000c for 20 minutes turning them once after 10 minutes till they turn crisp.
  • Make 20 pieces.
