On 7 February 2021, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev spoke at the ‘Be Smart’, a virtual live program with national experts, organized by IMA on ‘Role of telemedicine in improving glycemic outcomes’. The session was moderated by Dr.A.K Das. Dr.J.J Mukherjee, Dr.Unnikrishnan A.G and Dr.Banshi Saboo were the other speakers at the event. The program was attended by over 900 physicians and exhibited a brilliant interaction at the end of the lectures.

JDC Patient Education program February 2021

The JDC Patient Education Program February 2021, hosted virtually on 12 February, 2021, featured 100 selected patients from the Jothydev Diabetes Research Centre. The program was set off by Mr.Jayapalan A Nair, director of operations, JDC, with a welcoming. Dr.Arun Shankar, medical director, JDC, spoke on 'diabetes management'. This was followed by a talk on 'diet in diabetes' by Ms.Geethu Sanal, chief dietitian, JDC. A comprehensive talk on Injectables, medicine timings and other queries with regard to drug intake were addressed by Dr.Sajna Shijin and Dr.Yaseen Unes. Regular topics such as injection techniques, sensors and technology in diabetes, glucose monitoring techniques and follow-up were presented by Ms.Remya Jose, diabetes nurse, Ms.Akhila Manoj and Ms.Soumya Rajalekshmi respectively. Many patients shared their experiences and appreciated the diabetes team's efforts to help them manage their diabetes. The program was concluded by a vote of thanks, by Mr.Jayapalan A Nair.

The program was attended by around 250 enthusiastic first year MBBS students of TMC.
