RSSDI Kerala Chapter Annual Conference 2023

The RSSDI Kerala chapter annual conference 2023 was conducted at IMA House, Kochi, on the 18th and 19th of March, 2023. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr.Arun Shankar, and Ms.Gopika Krishnan conducted a workshop on 'Digital technologies in diabetes management'. During the oral presentations, Ms.Anjana Basanth presented original research from JDC, 'Data on the correlation between time in range (TIR) and treatment-related variables in a real-world setting'. The oral presentation won third prize at the conference. Mr.Vysakh Chandran presented a poster on 'User perceptions while on an automated insulin delivery system in people with type 1 diabetes' at the conference.

Physicians Club of Trivandrum

The Physicians Club of Trivandrum organized their 112th Scientific Meeting on the 14th of March 2023, at Trivandrum. Dr.Jothydev spoke on "What a physician must know: Technological advancement in the management of diabetes in 2023".

7th Chellaram Diabetes Institute International Diabetes Summit 2023

The 7th International Diabetes Summit 2023 organized by Chellaram Diabetes Institute was conducted from 10-12 March 2023 at Pune. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was an invited speaker for the event. He lectured on 'A 2-in-1 solution for insulin initiation: the growing wall of real-world evidence from India' at the conference.

Diabetes treatment must be patient-oriented: Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev

Kerala Kaumudi and Mathrubhumi newspapers featured an article titled "Diabetes treatment should be patient-oriented: Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev" based on the original research presented at ATTD Berlin, 2023.

World Obesity Day

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev spoke on the hazards of obesity on the occasion of world obesity day.

ATTD 16th International Conference

Advanced Technologies and Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) organized their 16th International Conference in Berlin and online platforms from 22nd to 25th of February 2023. On 25th February, Dr.Jothydev, an invited speaker, lectured on 'Do it yourself artificial pancreas: The affordable Indian experiences.' Dr.Jothydev also presented the original study from JDC titled 'Assessing TIR Metrics and A1C in PWD and its Association With Treatment-Related Variables'. 'Effects of customized structured SMBG on glycemic control in people with diabetes over 10 years', the original research from JDC, was also presented at ATTD.

National Expert Connect by ADERE

On February 19, 2023, in Delhi, the Academy for Diabetes & Endocrinology Research & Education (ADERE) hosted "National Expert Connect-Evidence-based practice and beyond." In an interactive session titled "Getting candid with the expert: My experience with RWEs," Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev and Dr. Neeta Deshpande participated.
