Diabscreen Kerala Diabscreen Kerala free diabetes detection, awareness and treatment camp was organized in conjunction with Aniyan's Hospial, Oachira on 2nd June 2012. More than 100 patients attended the camp and performed anthropometric measurements and laboratory investigations. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev conducted educational lectures on the complications that follow uncontrolled diabetes and the economic burden on the patient. The common errors when using insulin injections and glucometers were demonstrated and rectified by Ms. Gopika Krishnan. The camp was coordinated by Mr. Sasidharan, Managing Director, Aniyan's Hospital. Dr.Jothydev gave free medical advice to the patients and free medicines including insulin were distributed. Mr. Vinu Krishnan and Jayasree Lally coordinated the camp.
