Hi,

Diabetes in the elderly need to be treated with an aim to prevent disabling complications which can affect the fag end of life. Geriatrics specific diabetes treatment guidelines need to be followed customized to cultural, social and economic requirements. In this context, Jothydev's Professional Education CME on diabetes in elderly was well appreciated.

Gems video and Picture of the month are both on the new technology of retrospective flash glucose monitoring first introduced in the world in India. Sarcopenia(muscle loss) which is part of ageing can also result in sleep deprivation during night hours. Our regular updates and monthly series continues in this issue.
