We are delighted to publish the 5th anniversary issue of our Diabetes Newsletter on the World Diabetes Day 2012.Incidentally International Diabetes Federation is supporting World Diabetes Day activities with Jothydev's Diabetes Research Center and P. Kesavadev Trust, Kerala. We are also proud to include the full text of the recent publication in International Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism (IJEM) on the Guidelines to be followed for vaccination of diabetes patients in India.

In this special fifth anniversary issue, we are introducing 'Recipe' of the month. We have articles and researches on the importance of doing work outs on empty stomach to increase its effectiveness, the gut pathogens as a potential biomarker for diabetes predictability, the link between inflammation in beta cells and diabetes which also could be a potential diabetes predictor many years in advance, etc
