Dear Friends,

November 14, 2010 World Diabetes Day. The theme this year is 'Let's control diabetes now..' Our video this month is a journey through our World Diabetes Day events over the years.

This Second Anniversary issue is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Christopher Saudek MD, the pioneer in implantable insulin pump research and a very good friend of Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Centre.

Beta cells do not replicate post age 30 years and it is applicable for both T1 and T2 diabetes. The first article sheds light on this new study results based on carbon-dating analysis.

Study results show that even short course of insulin also improves quality of life significantly and scientists found out a new reason for insulin resistance. Second and third articles describe these research results respectively.

Slim body may also contain lots of internal fat, as shown by research team using MRI scans and Obese fathers increase their offspring's diabetes risk. You can gather more information from the diet section.
