     Two original diabetes research papers from Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Centre presented at ATTD 2011, London are published in this issue of GEMS.

     Fatty liver increases the risk of T2 diabetes, a hitherto unknown benefit of statin in addition to cholesterol regulation and the inability of HbA1c to accurately measure child diabetes are also included in this issue.
