November 14, 2021, marked the 13 years since 'JDC Diabetes Gems', the monthly diabetes newsletter from
Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Centre started. The gems had its first issue on November 14th, 2008 on
World Diabetes Day. We would like to thank all our readers for visiting our page and reading our articles.
We truly appreciate you!
World Diabetes Day is the world's largest diabetes awareness campaign. We have been organizing WDD events for more than two decades (since 2000) at various parts of Kerala. Read through the pic of the month and JDC updates to know more about our WDD activities 2021 and the theme of IDF World Diabetes Day 2020.
We feel delighted to share with our readers this issue of gems that hold updates from in the field of diabetes, including the right age to start screening for diabetes in India, COVID-19 associated mucormycosis, the effect of Covid-19 on self-management of diabetes, 5:2 diet and much more.
