Jothydev’s Professional Education Forum (JPEF) and P. Kesavadev Trust hosted the 9th Annual Global
Convention 2021 virtually on 9, 10 and 11 July 2021. The 9th JPEF 2021 was designed with the theme,
‘Saving Lives, Making The Impossible Possible!’ in view of one of the greatest challenges during the
pandemic- diabetes. At the outset, the JPEF team would like to express our profound gratitude to the
esteemed faculty, delegates and well-wishers for making the event a huge success. You can watch the

The Gems Video of the month features a glimpse of 9th JPEF 2021. The abstracts of the best oral presentations of the 9th JPEF 2021 are also published in this issue of Gems.
The Indian experience on using telemedicine and remote monitoring for management of diabetes during COVID-19 and study on painless lancing device on improving the Blood Glucose values, studies presented by Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre at the 14th International Conference on Diabetes Technologies & Treatments (ATTD 2021) are included in the July Gems issue. Our regular updates, the recipe of the month, pic of the month, device and drug updates and JDC updates continue.
